WHO To Provide Assistance in Bali
World Health Organization (WHO) to provide assistance (VAR) anti-rabies vaccine to the local government of Bali as many as 18 000 vials.
The first phase was received on Wednesday in amount of 2600 vial, while the remaining 15,500 vials are expected to come forward within a month.
Today there are five District Municipalities in Bali with VAR deficiency. those ditricts are Karangasem, Denpasar, Badung, Bangli and Klungkung.
According to plan WHO assistance VAR will begin to be distributed to respective districts starting Friday.
Bali provincial government has allocated Rp. 7 billion for the purchase of VAR.
In addition VAR Bali also get help from central government to reach 18 000 vials. If calculated on a total of up to Bali next September would have reached 119,000 vials.
The number is expected to be able to meet VAR needs up to seven months ahead.
